Abstract

In *Tes yeux bleus*, mélodie per voce e pianoforte su versi di Maurice Rollinat, Emmanuel Chabrier si confronta con la dimensione intimistica della lirica vocale francese di fine Ottocento. L'immagine degli occhi azzurri, evocata dal titolo, diventa il fulcro poetico di un'espressione affettiva nella quale la parola cantata e la scrittura pianistica concorrono alla definizione dell'atmosfera musicale. La scelta di un testo di Rollinat, poeta legato alla sensibilità decadente e alle inquietudini del *fin de siècle*, colloca il brano all'incrocio fra suggestione letteraria e ricerca espressiva. La composizione appartiene al repertorio delle mélodies di Chabrier, meno noto rispetto alla sua produzione teatrale e orchestrale. L'edizione per canto e pianoforte, pubblicata postuma da Costallat nel 1913, ne conserva la destinazione cameristica

The choice of a poem by Rollinat, a writer associated with Decadent sensibilities and the anxieties of the *fin de siècle*, places the work at the intersection of literary suggestion and musical expression. The composition belongs to Chabrier's repertoire of mélodies, less widely known than his theatrical and orchestral works.
