Description
The series contains the documentation pertaining to the Palermo Faculty of Architecture, officially established on 23 November 1945 and limited, at that time, to the “third year of study,” as recorded in the minutes of the Academic Senate drafted on the same date. On that occasion, the Rector read the minutes of the meeting of the Architecture professors held on 15 November 1945, in which it was proposed that the Council—responsible for “matters of ordinary supervision and instructional organization”—be constituted by the professors of the two‑year Architecture programme. The functions of President of the Council were to be assumed by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. “For matters on which the Council of professors, all being adjunct instructors, cannot decide, the Council of the Faculty of Engineering, supplemented by three representatives of the two‑year Architecture programme, shall intervene.”
