Abstract
The collection of newspapers and periodicals preserved in the libraries of the University of Palermo constitutes an invaluable resource for reconstructing cultural, scientific, and social life between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Among the most significant titles are the Bollettino della Società d’Igiene di Palermo, which documents the evolution of health practices and public health policies, and the journal of the Circolo Giuridico, an expression of academic and professional debate in the legal field.
